Freedom

Hello hello hello, finally liberated from the clutches of deadly exams, otherwise known as the 'A' Levels! So I am here to revive this dying blog. Hahaha. It's only day 2 of freedom but so much has happened since then. Since I won't be in SG for almost half of the month, my first two weeks of December are filled with plans. Honestly, I initially planned to spend the first few days just chilling at home, doing nothing (well not really nothing, but I'm sure you get what I mean). But things have been great so far, I'm loving the whole living-each-day-with-no-stress-and-no-studying feeling. Yeah. Okay I'm blogging this down as if I've been living the life for weeks when it's only been two days but I feel as if it's been longer than that. Is that a sign that I have been using my time wisely? I hope so :D

Prom is in one week and I was researching online on ideas for dresses as I wanted to tailor-make my dress (ambitious, I know. Such plans never work out). I am an extremely picky person and it's quite rare that something catches my eye when I shop, so I decided to spare myself the trouble of hopping from store to store trying to find my dream dress when really, at the end of the day, I wouldn't be able to. I came across Elie Saab's Spring/Summer 2011 Haute Couture collection, and it is divine.

Personal favourites from that collection. (I know that I am late since it's a Spring/Summer collection but whatever. Hahahaha.)

Okay, time to move on to other non-academic related activities that I can now do since I have no more exams. Hahaha. Ciao.

Youth Day!

Today, Nat and I headed down to the Subordinate Courts to sit in for a few hearings so she can get a little look at how lawyers work. I was pretty excited at the thought of sitting in for some interesting hearings, but in the end it was quite disappointing cuz I think we came at the wrong time. Hahaha. After that, I headed over to Sim Lim to check my phone before meeting Nab for some shopping and girltime!

We hung around City Hall - Raffles City, then Marina Square, then by the Esplanade, looking out at the city skyline and the lights and fountain display over at Marina Bay Sands. It was lovely, :)

Now... presenting to you the CUTEST THING EVERRRRR:

GIANT HERSHEY CHOCOLATE BAR!!!

It was playing peekaboo with the customers over at Garrett's HEHEHEHEHEHE oh my goodness how adorable.

My feet are currently aching from all the walking I did today >:( I hope I won't wake up in the middle of the night with leg muscle cramps or anything.

School starts in approximately 7 and a half hours. Nyeh. Time to face the music (sigh)

Na'night all!

Breathe

HIIII so exams just ended last Thursday and now we get to breathe again! Hahaha, well, just for a short while but we're all grateful for this short break that we're having. A four-day weekend woohoo!

Nab and Zul just left my place, they came over for an impromptu jamming/lepak session weehee! I miss hanging out together almost everyday after school, jamming, jiwanging, singing our hearts out! The last time we did that was... what, April? :'( 3 months ago!! That was quick, sigh. Back then when MCS was the highlight of the week. Now, it's just studies and blah. Sure, this will end in about less than 5 months time, but it was nice having something to look forward to during our school weeks other than the weekends.

Heh, okay I shall end off this short post with this video, I absolutely love the choreography and the concept of the dance!!

Allright, na'night all!
(by the way, I didn't manage to catch the Eclipse the other time cuz the clouds were blocking the view of the moon, damn! I saw it through Google's YouTube channel though... does that count?)

Eclipse

So... it's 2.44 am and I'm staying up with probably one quarter of the rest of Singapore to catch the Eclipse!! I just hope I'll be able to see it from my place though, people on Twitter and Facebook are complaining that they can't see the moon...

It's one week to the first paper of the June Common Tests and honestly I don't feel the strain yet, which is worrying. I felt it before June started, but for the past few weeks I've been in holiday mood... so yes I'm kind of doomed. One week ++ left to do as much as I can. I think that I'm feeling a tad bit demoralized from past efforts that never yielded results, perhaps that contributed to my lazyness over the holidays. From previous experiences: Weeks of studying a subject I love, yet flunking the paper during the Common Tests. Wasted efforts. Haiz. Still, no excuse for my lack of hard work this holiday, I have one week +++ to make up for it. Thank goodness I love (most) of what I'm studying, though, it lightens the entire burden.

2 more major exams before the big 'A's, 5 and a half more months to the end of this... nightmare? Not quite. A journey, maybe. One that I'd very much like to get over and done with hahahaha. A year and a half in JC flew by so quickly, I'm sure the next half a year would, too. Which is pretty scary - cuz it means the drawing near of the A levels - yet exciting - cuz it means the drawing near of POST- A Levels. Was having a chat with Khai the other day about what we'll do in the future, and it's quite worrying cuz really, I have no idea what I want to do in the future. Once upon a time, I did, but now, it's just... blank? A few of my relatives came by the other week and we had a similar discussion, maan, after the how-many career talks I've been to, I would have probably conjured up some kind of concrete ambition to work towards by now. People are telling me to just do well (hint hint 4 As) so that I'll have many paths to choose from. Still, it would be comforting to have a career goal in mind that will motivate me.

Okay, few more minutes till the eclipse, hopefully I'll be able to catch it, and get a decent picture!!

Anew

Hi friends! ^^

It's been a while since I last blogged and I think I've probably typed this countless times over on the how-many blogs I've set up, but I miss blogging and I hope I'll be able to keep up with this one :) Yes it is probably the busiest year in my life so far but perhaps this will keep me sane and allow me to let go of things a bit. Hahaha.

Just like any other holiday period, this one is spent studying away (though I haven't been as hardworking as I planned to be, I'm sad to admit...). Why do they call it holidays then? It should be renamed as "home-study-period-as-substitute-for-school" or something. Haha. Just came back from overseas and I feel pretty guilty for using my time to do something else but ah well whatever, what's done is done.

Only 5+ more months of this, and then we're done!! *excited* I don't think I can even imagine the freedom I'll have. All the more I should suffer more through these last few months.

Okay, chem is crying out to me. Ciao~~
